FALLOUT NEW VEGAS Bobblehead mod and locations

FANS of the Fallout New Vegas game will be please to know that there is a Bobblehead mod available for download. Bobbleheads add another dynamic to the game, which is particularly useful if you play the game in Hardcore mode. Download the mod via the link above. Below are their locations.

Fallout New Vegas Bobblehead Locations Revealed

1. Agility

The Agility Bobblehead is found Near Chance’s Grave – near a Fiend camp where Chance slaughtered them all. In the center of the camp is a log where you’ll find this bobblehead resting.

2. Barter

The Barter Bobblehead can be found southwest of Bitter Springs in Cap Counterfeiting Shack. The Bobblehead is on a workbench in the basement.

3. Charisma

The Charisma Bobblehead is inside the Gomorrah Suites building – in a large room with two circular beds. The bobblehead is on a shelf near the red bed.

4. Endurance

In Quarry Junction is a cave near a Deathclaw mother and her demonspawn. The Endurance Bobblehead is being grasped by a skeleton at the back of the cave.

5. Energy Weapons

The Brotherhood of Steel are holed up in a place called Hidden Valley, which is near the NCR Correctional Facility. You have to complete a few quests to gain access inside. Once you’re done, the Energy Weapons Bobblehead is under some stairs at the back of the fortress.

6. Explosives

Look in the first aircraft hangar at Nellis Air Force Base. The Explosives Bobblehead is on a shelf at the back of the hangar.

7. Guns

Inside Vault 34. At the very last floor, at the very bottom is the Armory. The Guns Bobblehead is lying on a table next to a missile launcher and some armor.

8. Intelligence

The Intelligence Bobblehead is inside a building called Allied Technologies near downtown New Vegas. Take the first door on the right after entering the Interior Offices and you’ll find it on a desk along with tons of Sunset Sarsparilla Star caps and bottles in the corner. Score.

9. Lockpick

The Lockpick Bobblehead is inside the NCR Correctional Facility – Prison Block B. It’s underneath a rusted bunk bed at the back of the cell. Lockingpicking is essential for playing Fallout New Vegas in hardcore mode.

10. Luck

Where else but the Lucky 38 Casino! Check the check-in counter for the Luck Bobblehead.

11. Medicine

The Medicine Bobblehead can be found right at the start of the game, inside Doc Mitchell’s house. It’s on his desk next to where you (probably) swiped his glasses and magazine.

12. Melee

Near Legate Lanius’ Camp is an area with a bunch of training dummies and what looks like a weapon forging area. The Melee Bobblehead is sitting on a table next to a grinder, Anvil and a stack of machetes. Fallout New Vegas has taken melee combat to a new level and is a lot of fun to master in.

13. Perception

The Perception Bobblehead resides at a place called “Sniper’s Nest” – west of Cottonwood Cove. The bobblehead is sitting on a shelf next to a bed.

14. Repair

In the New Vegas Strip is a building called Michael Angelo’s Workshop. The Repair Bobblehead is sitting on a bench next to a blueprint for a billboard.

15. Science

The Science Bobblehead is in a place called Fortification Hill Weather Station, located near The Fort. There are some panels on the floor that lead to a secret basement, which in turn leads to a massive Securitron Vault. The bobblehead is near the back of this vault on a desk with a broken radio and toolbox.

16. Sneak

Inside the Hoover Dam Power Plant is a bunch of wooden crates (one of which contains a suit of Chinese Stealth Armor). The Sneak Bobblehead is hidden behind the top crate on the right.

17. Speech

Nipton Town Hall is where you want to look. The Speech Bobblehead is on a table at the back of the room on the left side.

18. Strength

The Strength Bobblehead is on the top floor of Blackmountain Radio, which is on Blackmountain Summit. The bobblehead is sitting on top of crazy Tabitha’s radio.

19. Survival

The Survival Bobblehead can be found on Scavenger Platform, which is right in the middle of Lake Mead. You’ll have to swim to get across. The bobblehead is sitting on top of a footlocker.

20. Unarmed

Another bobblehead coveted by the Lucky 38 Casino! The Unarmed Bobblehead is in the VIP Lounge – right in front of a golden pair of boxing gloves.

FLIPPING through a National Geographic magazine the other day, I came across some statistical information regarding our depleting ocean populations. They were quite depressing to say the least. There are literally entire sections of the ocean that have been fished dry and several more marine species have recently been added to the “protected” or “endangered species” lists.

It’s a no-brainer that we need to conserve marine ecosystems which have sustained and fed us for so long. It needs to firmly sink into human consciousness that we, in fact, live on a blue planet. The oceans have much to teach us too. I recall an episode of The Blue Planet where divers dove the deepest they had ever gone — further than the sun’s rays could reach — and discovered underwater volcanic activity that had spawned a vibrant coral reef simply teaming with life. Until this discovery, it was believed that all energy for life was derived from the sun.

The oceans are also a force to be reckoned with and demand our respect. With all the floods and tsunamis of late, the oceans could spell the end of life as well as be the source if it. There is growing incentive to be able to accurately predict natural disasters before they happen. Considering that the majority­ of the world’s population lives on or near the coastline, studying the ocean floors should be of utmost priority­.

Natural disasters aside, there are also the lives of marine species to consider. A unique aspect of the human species is that we are the first creatures on the planet that have developed an awareness of our impact on the Earth. If this doesn’t dictate some sort of responsibility on our part, then I’m afraid to say that we may not have much of an exciting future to look forward to.

GOAT ISLAND BAY

On the northern island of New Zealand live a dedicated team of scientists and researchers who are taking the oceanic crisis to heart. Around 30 years ago, the area known as Goat Island Bay was a wet desert — decimated by overfishing. Since the establishment of the Goat Island Marine Reserve, the area has been transformed into a rich ecological paradise­ that is alive with possibility.

While divers from around the world flock to visit such rich waters, scientists are able to observe and study marine life in their natural environment. Marine life is left in peace to survive and multiply­ in harmony with people, while scientists are left free to investigate the health of the ecosystem. They now also provide a field-base for Masters students at Auckland University.

Of the many discoveries made to date is the unexpected taming of certain fish species in their protected natural environment due to increased interaction with people and bans on fishing. Snapper fish have been documented to occasionally swim alongside bathers, seeing them as neither food nor foe. Not only have several fish species become tamer, but many are also growing to record sizes, with Snapper fish growing up to a full metre.

Researchers have also discovered methods of naturally attracting marine species to the area and ensuring greater survivability during spawning season. Divers have found that several marine species can orientate to sound and are using beacons that emit natural reef sounds to direct larval fish and crustaceans to newly protected areas.

Goat Island Bay is a living example to the world. It demonstrates that we have what it takes to replenish our life-giving oceans and live in harmony with nature. We have the technology to fix the damage we have caused and can even improve habitats such as coral reefs, which, in turn, will attract even more life. Let’s respect our blue planet and remember that if it weren’t for fish we wouldn’t even be around.

BELIEFS: Ouija board, psychics and ghosts debunked

HOLLYWOOD and advertising firms must have a real riot over how easily we’re duped. The generic formula in advertising is to convince us that we have something lacking in our lives, or possess some flaw that we never knew about, and then offer us the ultimate solution by way of a product or service. Hollywood films often pose the danger of showing us how the larger world or an aspect of it should be perceived.

But what’s not so funny is when scam artists begin to exploit human desires and profit off desperate people, such as the blind, the bereaved or the disabled. From ghosts to psychics to scientology to horoscopes — these have all become big business by profiting off those who can be convinced enough to believe in them.

If you are a believer in anything mentioned here this is by no means a mockery of your beliefs. We all hold our own and what should be encouraged is a shared understanding and acceptance of one another’s beliefs. What is vitally important, however, is that we are not suckered into supporting abuse of such systems by those with profit-driven agendas; who honestly don’t give a fig what you believe.

A belief in the paranormal can be traced throughout history, which comes from our desire to understand things we can’t yet explain. Human beings are hardwired to believe such things. It’s part of our brain’s desire to find cause and effect in everything.

The human species used to believe in fairies, that the Earth was flat and that the sun was pulled up and down by a chariot. When new scientific evidence was brought to the table, we discarded those beliefs and superstitions. Unfortunately, we created more, and superstition is as alive today as it ever was. What hopefully has changed is that we are a lot better equipped to analyse supposed superstitions critically.

I recently came across a fantastic website called Science of Scams (www.scienceofscams.com) that does just that. The website has been developed by a team of people on a global mission to make the world truly question the paranormal. They have released seven hoax videos to date which aim to explain and demonstrate particular paranormal phenomena. The videos­ are really interesting to watch and what follows is a basic synopsis of the sort of information they offer (adapted from the website).

GHOSTS

The “Ghost on Film” video demonstrates how easy it is to project a ghost-like figure using mirrors, correct lighting and a real little girl hidden from view. Our fascination with ghosts or spirits wandering the Earth has resulted in a plethora of books, magazines, websites, TV shows, and of course, people who claim they can contact the dead for a nominal fee. It is quite natural for a human being to experience feelings of chill and dread and to fear death itself. Combine this with particular atmospheric conditions and an active imagination and perceived ghost sighting become quite common.

PSYCHICS

The life force of psychics is what is known as “cold reading” — a technique employed by several industries today. It is often used by salespeople, hypnotists, advertisers, faith healers and con artists. At a basic level, cold reading utilises a linguistic skill known as “the Barnum­ statement”. These are phrases which could apply to anyone, but require a single person to supply the meaning from their own personal life. They all rely on their subject’s inclination to find more meaning in a situation than there actually is. Cold reading is a popular technique employed by psychic­ mediums such as John Edward and by those who write horoscopes.

OUIJA BOARD

A Ouija board (also known as a spirit board), is a flat board marked with letters, numbers and other symbols. It is theoretically used to communicate with the dead. The first historical mention of something resembling a Ouija board is found in China around 1100 BC. The word “ouija” is derived from both the French and German words for “yes”.

The unexciting truth behind Ouija boards is that the participants are sub-consciously moving the glass or pointer themselves. This is known as an ideo-motor response, which can be encouraged through simple suggestion. Further evidence of this sort of response can be found in tests that have been carried out while the participants were blindfolded. Here the messages come out as nonsense, which is arguably proof that the participants need to see where they are pushing the glass.

Our emotions are deep and unconscious, and tend to have more power over us than our rational minds. Once an idea plays to our imaginations, it’s hard to shift it, and then we look around for things to support it, happily disregarding things which don’t fit the picture we have in our heads. – Derren Brown

At the end of the day, what all of this is trying to encourage is that we should always questions such concepts and beliefs and never blindly accept something without asking how and why. We need to look at the evidence and make educated choices, and never be afraid to re-examine what we believe and what we think.

DRUGS: Why our great grandparents were happier than we are…

HAVE you ever heard of the Great Binge? This was a period prior to WW I where drugs were in huge supply. Not only that, but they were completely legal. Soldiers could order a drug pack for their boys on the front, which contained heroine, cocaine, needles and just about any drug that is now considered as naughty.

Below are some genuine products that were available around the same period. Cocaine tablets, Opium for asthma and Bayer‘s Heroin were all too common, which possibly explains why it was called “the good old days”. Check em out:
